  1. Can the Break barrel fit in the pistol holster?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Chris,

Well, although its possible to slot part of the Barrel Break into the holster, it isn't designed for that blaster as the holster's velcro strap is not positioned to secure the angled trigger handle on the Barrel Break.

The holster is designed more for pistol-shaped blasters like the Maverick or perhaps the upcoming Spectre.

  3. The Barrel Break is able to fit, but the velcro holder doesn't wrap around. It is a bit bulky though.

  4. For the velcro patch part, is it the soft side or the sharper side that is on the vest.

    ReplyDelete
  5. SG NERF,
To clarify: Is it the hooks or loops that are on the vest in the patch spot so that I can know which patches to get. Sorry about the lack of clarity in my last question.
    John

  6. John,

The tactical vest's velcro section is the softer "loops" side. So you'll need to get patches with the velcro "hooks" side.

  7. Does the recon pistol fit in the holster?

    ReplyDelete
  8. John,

The Recon pistol main unit cannot fit into the holster.

  9. I saw the question about the Barrel Break and immediately wondered if it was possible to slot that weapon ( or any other Nerf gun) into the back holster which is intended for the N-Force weapons.

  10. Thomas,

The scabbard on the back of the tactical vest is only around 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter, it is mainly designed to fit the N-Force foam melée range.

  11. Can the back holster fit the short sword from the Stonewall set?

    ReplyDelete
  12. John,

The tactical vest's back scabbard should be able to fit the N-Force short sword too.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Can the holster be detached from the rest of the vest? I think i read somewhere that you'll be able to take it off and strap it to your leg or something. I'm probably wrong. it'd be much simpler to draw a sidearm from the thigh than from the left side of the stomach. plus with something as large as a Maverick (not that i use those much; i prefer nitefinders) it could be somewhat bulky to move around with.

  14. Morgan,

The side pistol holster is permanently sewn to the vest, so its not removable.

Anyways, i guess holster positioning is up to individual user preference. :)

  15. SG Nerf,
What are the dimensions of the velcro patch spot (height and width, please)?

  16. I was reading some stuff about the upcoming Barricade Rev-10 and I wondered whether it'd fit in the holster of the tactical vest... it's probably too early to tell. Please let me know when you can. (I'll probably just end up making my own vest and holster(s)).

  17. John,

The vest's top left chest velcro area is around 10cm x 10cm in dimensions.

  20. Oh man this is awesome. Is this a one size fits all deal or what?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Keegan McCormick,

Well, the box states "One Size Fits Most". :)

Check the vest measurements that i posted up in the review, it'll give you an idea of the sizing and adjustment features.

  22. do the 18 dart clips fit? or are they to long?

what kind of accsesories/things could fit in the pouch?

which blasters fit in the holster?

    ReplyDelete
  23. nathanael,

Its possible to fit 18-dart clips in the vest's clip loops, but the extra length of the clips tends to get in the way of the other sections of the vest and kinda makes the overall design look abit odd. :)

The side mesh pouch can fit a small blaster like a Nerf Reflex or Eliminator, it can also fit 1 or 2 more 6-dart clips too.

The holster is designed to fit pistol-sized Nerf blasters, i've successfully test fitted Mavericks, Nite Finders, Storm Fires, Spectres etc. Basically, any Nerf blaster that has similiar shapes as those models.

  24. SG Nerf,
Can the Lanard Scatter Blast fit in the mesh pocket?
    John

    ReplyDelete
  25. John,

Nope, the Lanard Scatter Blast is too large to fit into the vest's mesh pocket.

  26. Norsuhailah Sariman,

The Nerf Tactical Vest set retails at SGD$49.90 and its available at most major dept stores in Singapore.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I read ur earlier comments, can u tell me the diff between nerd reflex and eliminator?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Irsyad,

The Nerf Eliminator and Reflex are both very compact spring plunger powered blasters with similiar components.

The main difference between the 2 models is the exterior casing design.

    ReplyDelete
  29. SG nerf, can the Marauder Longsword fit well into the scabbard on the back of the vest?

    ReplyDelete
  30. David,

Yes, the N-Force Marauder can fit into the back scabbard of the Nerf Tactical Vest.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hey, btw. Where did you make that badge? My friend is interested in making one too

    ReplyDelete
  32. Gabriel Ho,

Check with the badge makers at the NerfSG forum.

    ReplyDelete
  33. So, you mean that this vest can be used in place of the Dart Tag Vests? Since it's loop velcro?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Musta,

Read the review again, the velcro on the Nerf tactical vest is only on a small section at the top left chest area.

I have no idea how you can assume that it can be used in place of a Dart Tag vest.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well...

Guess I'll just have to play "Shoulder-Score Dart Tag" !!! XD

    ReplyDelete
  36. which forum can i find the badge makers?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Adil,

  38. so this is worth buying? I currently use my cross-draw vest I play airsoft in, works good, but this might be better since it's specific to fit nerf stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Chris,

I guess its best for you to just test it out to see if it fits your preference (and style).

    ReplyDelete
  40. do they sell vest malaysia? if yes, how much

    ReplyDelete
  41. Adil,

I've no idea about the Nerf stock availability in Malaysia, best if you just check with the dept stores around your area.

    ReplyDelete
  42. could u tell me wot sg is
I thort it wos another brand of dart gun but then I saw it on the tactical vest

    ReplyDelete
  43. Samza,

"SG" is short form for Singapore (the country where i live).

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hey just asking i'm planning to get one this Christmas but can it hold the Nerf Barricade.

I also have a Nerf Maverick but is it possible to stuff it inside the small side pocket on the vest?

    Thanks for the awesome reviews!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nathan,

The Nerf Barricade seems to be abit too wide to fit into the Vest's holster.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Roy Xiao,

The Barricade is abit too wide to fit into the holster, it is more suitable for the Maverick.

If you are referring to the small zippered side mech pocket, thats too small for the Maverick.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thanks for replying to my question but I have two questions.

Is it possible to hold a Nerf Hornet in the pistol holster, cause my bro's getting it for his b.day and it would be a shame not to be able to hold it as a side arm.

Next, Can i like, stretch the pistol holster to make it able to fit the Barricade, cause its like the best sidearm I've ever seen.

Sorry for so many questions! :D

    ReplyDelete
  48. Roy Xiao,

Nope, the Nerf Hornet is an even larger blaster and would definitely not be able to fit into the Vest holster (or even any conventional holster).

Well, you can try stretching the holster to fit your Nerf Barricade, but that blaster is basically too wide to fit properly.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ah well, that's a total shame. Anyway, thanks a lot! :D

    ReplyDelete
  50. Do the clips have to be upside down on the vest? if your running the bullets will just fall out.

    ReplyDelete
  51. DreamCrusher,

I guess the reason why the clips are shown on the Nerf box description positioned upside down in the vest, is because in that clip position the foam darts wouldn't get pulled by the elastic straps when the clips are removed in a downwards motion.

If the clips are working properly, the foam darts wouldn't pop out so easily.

You can also slot the clips right side up in the vest too, just try either method and see which works better for you.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Can the barricade fit into the pistol holster?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Stoll,

By default, the Nerf Barricade is too large to fit into the Vest's holster.

    ReplyDelete
  54. with some modding a.k.a duct tape or something could a gun fit on the back

    ReplyDelete
  55. Is a longshot or Longstrike fitable in the place for axe or sword?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Richard,

The back mounted scabbard cannot fit a Longshot or Longstrike.

    ReplyDelete
  57. In nerf games, is this considered *bulletproof*?

    ReplyDelete
  58. 12 dan 12,

Well, it's up to Nerf game organizers to create their own rules regarding the wearing of vests. :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. Does the nerf vortex pocket howler fit in the pockets? (I use it as a grenade in wars.)

    ReplyDelete
  60. D.E.C,

Not too sure about that... 'cos i don't have a vortex pocket howler to test fit it.

I guess you could check the scale of the clips and darts to compare them with the dimensions of your vortex pocket howlers. :)
