  1. When I saw this, I thought someone copied my design from Nerf Blaster Reviews. Seems pretty cool. http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=420559211324960&set=pb.143804085667142.-2207520000.1349799768&type=1&theater

    1. No the one in the vest was obviously the triad since both of their muzzles are identical

Look again. The muzzles are quite obviously NOT identical - not even close. The entire shell is different, with a clearly visible single barrel, and not the distinctive triangular prism of the Triad. I feel like the word "obviously" is being thrown around a little too freely, and with too little proof.

  3. I don't think this is real. When you look at the symbol, it's just the N-Strike symbol, not the elite symbol. Also, with the Triad coming out, I doubt they'll rerelease the jolt

    1. yup, it seems suspicious... Unfortunately, isn´t the gun that we are looking for :( it´s just a painted jolt, but...not bad :)

    2. debunked right here, pretty much what I was thinking.

    3. Well, I just got one, and it looks pretty real to me! If you want to get one, then you can buy it on amazon.

  4. I too am dubious. Something about that symbol just doesn't feel right. If this is a fake it is an astonishing one.

  5. could be a possible fake, it could have a fake elite paint scheme

  6. Most of the details look right, but that orange thing on the barrel just doesn't look right.

  7. I wonder if it *IS* real though... look at the front of the barrel with the orange 'muzzle cover' compared to the original Jolt... It's not just a repaint, and even if it was, someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make that muzzle cover front to make it look convincing @_@ plus the paint job on it is spot on. So I'm hopeful :P

  8. I'm obviously no expert, but that looks legit. compare it to the image in the guy's tac vest.
Weird that this would coexist with the triad.

  9. Nerf N-Strike Elite Jolt?
    Or just some skilled photoshopping?
    Where is the elite logo?

    ReplyDelete
  10. On urban taggers there was a post relating to this. I guess there really is a "elite" jolt. Then what the heck is the triad?

    1. The triad is fake. Hence the 'EX-3', and the overall chunkiness. At that size, you may as well just go for the Firestrike (redone NF)

  11. It really does look fabricated. That muzzle looks too rough.

    Nice custom job, though.

  12. you are looking at the real deal right here guys, the emblem is most likely an error but compare it to this

and it will coexist with the triad

  13. Looking at this I think that Nerf has ditched the Triad. Which really sucks because it looked a lot better compared to the so-called "Elite Jolt". Why can't they just release the triad instead of the exact same gun but with a different paint scheme. Nerf needs to update on it's original guns. This includes changing the names and the guns external features to make these blasters truly "Elite" and not just a recreation of the previous gun but with a different paint scheme and slightly better internals. We all want something new and obviously Nerf has run out of ideas so that's why they released the Elite blasters in the first place. Take the Rampage for example, it's a raider without a stock and a smaller clip. It may have better internals but 7 year old's who are buying these guns aren't going to care about the internals. They care about how good the gun looks! There are plenty of ways to improve on their guns it's just that they're worried about spending to much money on new designs and not getting enough back from sales. If Nerf wants to stay in the game against Buzz Bee, Airzone and others it needs to improve and adapt!

  14. Guys,do not get your hopes up,this is a N-strike Jolt painted in N-strike Elite colours and the cosmetics a little bit modified.Watch closely and you will see that the N-strike logo is still written on,then take your jolt and compare it to this one.The only diffrences are the paint and the endcap.

  15. That is so clearly a fan repaint that I'm shocked you have this on your site. Look at how to "J" in jolt overlaps the white. No designer would be that stupid, there is no way they wouldn't put the elite logo on it, and they already have another design.

Nerf won't re-release a blaster without some actual update besides a paint job.

The blaster in the link (JonSanchez) looks very different. The one in the pocket has a much different shape and color.

Different shape and color... really? It looks identical to my eyes.

    2. Well, the muzzle is definitely different. But then there is no reason Nerf couldn't have changed their design. The one in vest has no room for the jolt name, and even looks like it is overlapping.

  16. This is obviously fake. All you idiots saying its real are wrong. The new Jolt is the Triad, which is the jolt but with two dart holders.

    1. I am going to laugh so hard if your wrong. Just because the Triad may look better than the Elite Jolt it doesn't mean that it's the new version of the Jolt. I prefer the Triad to what I've seen of the Elite Jolt but you can never know for sure!

  17. SGNerf, Do you know if this is real or not because there is no n-strike elite logo just the original n-strike

That "more info" just popped up. Though it's been out there for some time, it seems. ;P

...I don't know what the rest of the NIC thinks, but this image of the back of the Elite Tactical Vest packaging(courtesy of Urban Taggers) is indubitably the very Elite Jolt we see here, and not the Triad EX-3. The image linked here is identical to this post's picture in every regard, from orange prime handle to slightly awkward yet evocative paint scheme - it appears that this Jolt is not, as seems to be consensus, a fake or modder repaint in any sense. The question now becomes that of WHY Nerf would release two Elite derringer-style pistols. One argument could be that they are aimed at different markets, or as different roles of concealed weapon and compact backup blaster (though the Triad always seemed a little useless and awkward to me, as a lumpy and patently unconcealable boot gun with stats more suited to an entry-level pistol). However, a final possibility that is, in my opinion, the most likely, is that this Jolt is a mere repaint to match N-Strike's new colors, and NOT an Elite blaster at all. This would explain the coexistence of the Jolt and Triad, the normal N-Strike insignia on the barrel, and the lack of a name change (though, to be fair, the Elite Rayven doesn't have one either). After all, there's not much Nerf's engineers can do for the Jolt - it's already got one of the most efficient direct plunger systems in the world, as well as a surprisingly tough spring. Also, it seems that the small orange muzzle is only for the sake of the "orange-barrel" regulation for fake guns, in accordance with the change from the all-orange color scheme. Any questions? ;)

    3. I think that they're going to sell the Triad in a few countries and the Elite Jolt in another series of countries. They could be aiming to try and get fans and collectors of Nerf to buy these guns from other parts of the world. A massive money maker for Amazon and Hasbro's online store.

  18. This Jolt is weird. The N-Strike Elite logo isn't right, but the blaster has the N-Strike Elite camo design.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Fake, look at the N-Strike symbol, it isn't the elite one. Someone just did a paint job to it...

    ReplyDelete
  20. if you look very close at the 'elite' jolt in the tac vest, it does not appear to have the elite logo, either. I cant believe some of you people think the triad is in the tac vest! if you think it is, then either you 1) need to get your eyes checked, and/or 2) you just have serious issues.

  21. The orange muzzle looks like it has a funnel shaped tip, which would be cool because it would help make reloading quicker..

    ReplyDelete
  22. But the Elite Jolt shoots 60ft+ flat it might true this is not a fake one.

  23. It's pretty funny to read all the paranoia comments about "fake" Jolts and Triads a couple of months later, when we know they're both legit.

  24. is the price of elite jolt same with the original?

    1. Maybe same? Ckckck i have ori Jolt and feel so stupid because the price is same but the quality of elite is better
