Once again, Nerf has introduced a movie themed version of the Nerf Titan + Hornet package. This time its mean and its green!
The Hulk Abomination Blaster comes with the Nerf Titan AS-V.1 for long range firepower and the Nerf Hornet AS-6 for close range quick-fire engagements.
Both blasters can be attached together (an extra front trigger on the Titan can be activated to fire the attached Hornet). Each blaster can also be detached quickly and operated seperately.

Hulk Abomination Blaster - Box (Front)
Hulk Abomination Blaster - Box (Back)
Hulk Abomination Blaster - Un-Boxed
Hulk Abomination Blaster - Fully Assembled
Lets now take a look at the Nerf Hornet AS-6 in more detail...
The Nerf Hornet AS-6 is powered by compressed air (similiar to a MagStrike), and has a firing capacity of 6 foam darts.
The Hornet is a proper semi-automatic nerf blaster, which means that once you've pumped the air chamber full (with the in-built pump handle), and prime the firing mode system (via the top slide hatch), all you need to do is to just keep pulling the trigger and it will fire the foam darts in sequence, no need to keep re-priming the blaster.
It also has a full blast "shotgun" button on its side. When activated, it'll fire off all the foam darts in one barrage, useful when you need to quickly blast an area with foam darts!
Nerf Hornet - Side Profile
Nerf Hornet - Slide Hatch (To Prime the Semi-Auto & Shotgun Mode)
Nerf Hornet - Full Blast "Shotgun" Button
Nerf Hornet - Individual Barrel Design

is this available in singapore? and is there any remaining stock? thnks 4 ur help
ReplyDeleteThe Hulk blaster isn't avaliable in singapore yet, i got mine shipped in from Amazon.com.
ReplyDeleteI guess thats the only way to get it at the moment. :)
is it the same power and range as the normal titan?
ReplyDeleteYes, i've compared both the Red and Green Titans. Both their internals, power and range are the same. :)
ReplyDeletethe hulk doesnt come with the pistol thou:(
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Scout IX-3 pistol is only packaged with the full Nerf Unity System set.
ReplyDeletewhat is the range approximately? and would you recommend it? be honest :)
ReplyDeletewhen you pump the gun does the darts pop out?
ReplyDeleteFor the Titan, range is around 60+ ft if fired at a slightly elevated angle.
ReplyDeleteFor the Hornet, ranges average around 25-30 ft.
Nope, the darts should not pop out while the Hornet is being pumped up. If it does happen, it could be due to some problems or issues with the blaster's air release system.
Do I recommend these blasters? Well, if you like a "missile launcher" style blaster, then the Titan is quite fun. If you are looking for semi-auto blasters, then the Hornet would be quite effective during Nerf games. :)
Stupid Hasbro doesn't sell the Unity Power System anymore. Lucky for me, those were the first three Nerf guns I ever had. Yes, that's right, I have the Unity. Also, does the green Titan still have the reverse tactical rail? I didn't see it on the cover.
ReplyDeleteYup, the green Titan has the reverse tactical rail. Its basically the same as the red Titan, just different colour. :)
ReplyDeletecan i ask if the Nerf hornet is still sold in singapore at toysrus.I wish u can specify which part of singapore.(i would really appreciate it)
ReplyDeleteeduin,
ReplyDeleteNerf Hornets were in stock at local Toys R Us outlets until recently. I've not spotted them on shelves lately though.
If you're keen, maybe you can check the NerfSG forum trading section too.
What are all the versions of the unity power packs/ systems i only know of 4
ReplyDeletespeedsnow,
ReplyDeleteSo far to my knowledge, there are currently 4 different package variations of the Nerf Titan:
Unity Power System = Titan (Red) + Hornet (Red) + Scout (Red)
Big Bad Titan = Titan (Red) Only
Big Bad Titan = Titan (Blue) Only
Hulk Abomination Blaster = Titan (Green) + Hornet (Green)
NERF N-STRIKE 3-in-1 UNITY POWER SYSTEM got this as 'open box' with no manual or instructions. We can NOT get the two guns to separate. The button presses in but they dont come apart. Is there a trick or secret to this?
ReplyDeleteRon,
ReplyDeleteFor the sets i had, the two blasters didn't simply detach just by pressing the button either. I had to physically also pull them apart. Looks like thats how it works. :)
you got it of amazon with 3rd party shipping?and do they sell it at jusco?
ReplyDeleteweaponhazard,
ReplyDeleteYup, i ordered them from Amazon.com.
So far, i've not seen them at any MY or SG stores.
how many pumps for hornet
ReplyDeleteLanh, Duc, Joey & Sydney Nguyen-Khoa,
ReplyDeleteThe Hornet usually requires around 10+ pumps to fill up it's air tanks.
may I know where the full 3 in 1 power system is available for sale in Singapore
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteThe full 3 in 1 Unity System is not sold in Singapore... you'll have to get it from overseas or order it in from online stores.
SG Nerf,
ReplyDeleteDo you have the mod guide for the Titan and Hornet?
Anonymous,
DeleteYou can check the NerfHaven forum "Modifications Directory" to find relevant modding guides for those blasters:

Hey SG Nerf,
ReplyDeleteI found on the internet that says:
"There is no shortage for Nerf Longshot in UK, Australia, and SINGAPORE." Is that right? If yes tell me.
Anonymous,
DeleteAt this moment, Longshots are still available at most dept stores in Singapore... but reports have popped up that they have already started to be all sold out at some stores, so it looks like the local stock is starting to diminish.
