Update at the
NerfNation Facebook Wall...
"What’s that on the horizon? Looks like the first-ever drum fed Nerf
Vortex blaster, featuring
40 disc capacity and
slam-fire capability. The
Vortex Pyragon blaster,
hitting shelves 8/1. The future looks bright."

ReplyDeleteHey please visit www.worldnerfwar.blogspot.com.au it sounds fun as and it would be good for victims of war.
Hey SgN
ReplyDeleteHow much do you think it costs?
N-Strike 3 team,
DeleteNot sure of the local pricing yet, i guess we'll know once it pops up at dept stores here.
I guess $79.90
DeleteAre u stupid!! its on amazon right now, its $40, the only guns that are more then 40 are auto ones
DeleteAnonymous,
DeleteThey are referring to retail prices in Singapore. :)
This and nerf n strike elite hail-fire. Which do u think is better?
ReplyDeletei've been pondering alot about getting this one instead of hailfire, cos' some vids show that this can reach about65 feet, with horizontal firing, wich is the best i've ever seen.
DeleteActually, not all the people can gather 144 elite darts and 8 x 18 clips, my choice would be pyragon, even thow i'm not an expert with vortex
hope i could help
DO WANT!

Anonymous,
DeleteGet the Pyragon. :)
The Pyragon just popped up at my local store yesterday. And there was only ONE. there was no price tag, so i think it was put on the shelf early. I got it today for 49 AUD.
ReplyDeleteI got it in SiNGAPORE yesterday 79.9!!
ReplyDeleteAre they going to launch the vortex sonic series in SG?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteAt this moment, no news or indication of those models available locally yet.
SG Nerf,
ReplyDeleteI live in the United States and there are already Pyragons on the shelf. So would I want this, the Praxis, or the Nitron?
Anonymous,
DeleteGet the Pyragon, it has higher ammo capacity.
Does the magazine from the Pyragon fit on the Nitron?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteYes, the Pyragon's drum magazine can be used with the Nitron too.
Should I get this or Hail-Fire?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteGet the Pyragon.
do the vortex blasters have any war/modding potential?
ReplyDeleteThorsMitersaw,
DeleteWell, Vortex blasters can be as effective in Nerf games as N-Strike blasters... the main difference is their use of foam discs vs foam darts.
Whether they have game potential depends on your personal gameplay style and preference, you'll have to try them out in actual games to know.
As for modding potential, there are some performance mods that can be done on Vortex blasters, although the operating concepts are similar, their modding methods and parts are different from foam dart blasters.
Here is a Vortex blaster mod guide i posted up a while back for reference:
