  5. What kind of range does the normal stock maverick get, 25-30 feet?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Maverick firing ranges usually average around 20-25 ft (aimed with a slight elevated angle).

  7. the transparent maverick can shoot further because of the kind of darts. I used micros and the sonic darts. the sonic darts shot further. (actually i didnt know that.)

  20. Ezekiel,

I'm in Singapore so i'm not too familiar with the Nerf stock availability or pricing in M'sia.

You could check at the Nerf forums based in M'sia or just check out the dept stores around your area to find out.

  21. Hey SG,
Which is better the Nerf maverick or the Spectre???
    Reasons please...............

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ezekiel,

It depends on what features you prefer.

Get the Nerf Maverick if you want a higher 6-dart ammo capacity.

Get the Nerf Spectre if you want options to attach more N-Strike accessories but don't mind a lower 5-dart ammo capacity.

  23. hello SG

is it still possible to get the transparent maverick at any shops or only Ebay

    please respond

    thanks

  24. assult-marine,

The transparent Maverick (Black Box version) seems to be all sold out in Singapore.

You might still be able to find the clear Maverick (Clear Series version) in local stores though, just have to shop around to find them.

  25. SG Nerf,
What's the difference betweent the Clear Maverick and the Transparent one?
    Range? Coloring? Anything?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Jessen L.

They both have the same mechanisms and perform around the same.

The only difference i could spot was the Transparent Mavericks had a slightly matt exterior texture, compared to the Clear Series Mavericks which seemed to have a more glossy exterior.

  29. I know this should be put on the longstrike review but what range mods can be done on the longstrike WITHOUT increasing firing noise?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous,

Perhaps using customized foam darts optimized for better ranges in stock blasters or improving the plunger o-ring seal... those type of mods will not increase firing noise.

  30. So changing the spring will increase noise,k thank I will try using customised foam darts, where can I buy these?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous,

You can check at the various Nerf forums, see if any of the modders there have ready-made custom foam darts for sale.

Or you can just customize your own, just check out my custom calibrated foam darts conversion guides:

  32. Also I was going to try elite darts, what do you think?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous,

Well, Elite foam darts are slightly more consistent and accurate than Streamlines, so you should see better performance out of them... but note that they still swerve in flight though (just less severe).
