I wonder if your trustfire voltage doesn't destroy nerf rayven, because i really wanted to try that out. Also, have you already sot the pyragon in Singapore?
Sorry if i brought it to the wrong place, but i thought you wouldn't answer my questions in the older posts. Thanks for answering!
Voltage increase mods will naturally cause the motor to undergo higher wear and tear, so its lifespan will shorten. Modders have to be prepared to repair any parts that break or burn out.
Fortunately, the Rayven's motors are quite easy to replace, as they are the same dimensions as Tamiya mini 4WD motors.
The Pyragon is available in Singapore now, but i didn't get one as i don't use Vortex blasters in games. :)
It depends on the amount of increased voltage and the duration the motors are run continuously (and how much heat they build up during usage), there isn't a reliable "time scale" of when the motors will fail, but it will naturally be sooner than if it was unmodded.
You can usually find Tamiya mini 4WD motors at electronics or RC hobby toy shops.
Sorry for bothering you again... -.-' i'm planning on using a voltage of 12.6 volts (or 3 trustfire). Also, do you think it is necessary using barrel to increase accuracy after moding? Once again, sorry for the excessive amount of questions... And thanks for answering them all!
You can try using an extension barrel with it, the accuracy may improve slightly but the ranges will also tend to decrease due to the foam darts bumping against the barrel walls.
Its better to use custom calibrated foam darts which are tuned to have better consistency and accurate, so you can maintain both optimal accuracy and range (without using an extension barrel).
From the initial reviews and descriptions so far from those who have it, it seems to be the same as the yellow version, just in a different blue "Elite" color scheme.
Hey Sgnerf, Do you have any inside info when it would come out in Singapore?I want to have a nerf party after my psle which ends this Tuesday please reply.(forum don't help) Please update us if you see it in stores
Hey SG Nerf, Is it different than the yellow version? Like the sight has 'zoom in' lenses or the lazer is different or accurate? I wanna buy this after my exams :D
From my experience using them, jamming is usually due to the user not priming the blaster properly or the foam darts used are worn out or damaged... otherwise, i didn't notice much difference in their jam rates.
I spotted an original pin-point site on eBay and as those are impossible to find I have a terrible feeling that these ones will be too. Weren't the original ones released when you got a certain amount of Nerf guns in Singapore and you got one of these free of charge? I'm not sure but I think that these will be the same except with a new Blue paint scheme. If not I'll get it and POSSIBLY paint it yellow as I have more yellow Nerf blasters than blue ones. Will any of you guys paint yours or not?
The yellow version of the Nerf Pinpoint Sight was actually a stand-alone Nerf Mission Kit that was released in 2008/2009, i got mine from dept stores in Malaysia (at that time they were not available in Singapore). They were all sold out shortly after though.
Only recently in early 2012 did they re-appear as limited edition promo items.
Yeah, i guess some nerfers might have to resort to re-painting their sets in a different color, if they can't get the exact color they want. :)
Hi SG Nerf! Just saw this on google. Please let me know if this becomes available for New Zealand or Australia cos I will def get this. Prob around 20 of them! lol
I guess they'll probably be available in other countries as promotional items too... so just keep a lookout for them popping up at your local dept stores.
Are there any Informations around, when this will come to Europe or America?

Looi Jia Chek,

.__.
ReplyDeletebtw, another question...
which one would not jam alot?
Elite Retaliator or rampage?
