  1. stevencx,

At this moment, there is only one version available in local stores.

You'll have to check around the various stores to find them.

    depoly or barricade+ammo bag kit

  3. stevencx,

Well, the Deploy would work better with this particular Ammo Bag Kit, 'cos the camo streamline foam darts are designed for clip systems.

The Nerf Barricade is not designed to use streamline foam darts, as their tips are too narrow so there is a chance they may not be able to be gripped in the spinning flywheels to be propelled out properly.

  5. Boomer23,

The new 2011 Dart Tag blasters should be appearing on store shelves very soon, so just keep a lookout for them.

I'll post updates on this site once they pop up at local stores in Singapore.

  6. have u got yur hands on one yet? how did urban taggers get one?

  7. AD MAN,

No range difference, the camo foam darts are the same as normal form darts.

    ReplyDelete
  8. oh ok it looked like it was longer and would fit better in the chamber

    ReplyDelete
  9. How do the Stampede 18 dart clips fit into these pouches?

    ReplyDelete
  10. AD MAN,

That's probably due to the camera angle, both foam darts are actually the same length. :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Shawn,

The 18-dart clips are too long and cannot fit into this Ammo Bag.

  12. SG what's the nerf dart tag league?

  13. Boomer23,

Its an official Nerf Tournament/Championship event series held in the USA, you can check out more info about it at the main Nerf website:

we are so big, me and my friends cant enter

  16. Boomer23,

As with all new products and gadgets, there are always factory test samples that sometimes get into the hands of sellers, so it all depends on the contacts with suppliers and abit of luck: :)

  17. any idea of when mission zone Singapore 2011 is?

    thx

  18. stevencx,

Well, in August 2009 there was the Nerf Dart Tag League (NDTL) event in Singapore:

    http://sgnerf.blogspot.com/2009/08/singapore-nerf-tournament-2009-event.html

Then in June 2010, there was the Nerf Mission Zone event:

    http://sgnerf.blogspot.com/2010/06/nerf-mission-zone-2010-singapore.html

Both events were around the mid to 3rd quarter of the year.

So for 2011 i guess we'll just have to keep a look out for event announcements popping up soon. :)

  19. do the camo streamline darts still have the hole in the tip that causes them to spiral and fishtail all over the place?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Varvs,

The camo streamlines have the same design as normal streamlines, including having the same air release hole at their hollow rubber tips.

  21. what are ur favourite stock blasters? and wat should i get for my b'day? 2 longshots or a longstrike? reply would be appreciated. thanks

    ReplyDelete
  22. barrettm107cqbr,

For Nerf games, i'd get the Nerf Stampede.

Though for collection purposes, Longshots would be good to get and keep.

  23. Hey Yo, WASSUP! Hey I was wondering, can you tell me the departmental stores that have it, cos the one I found it in is a bit too far from my place.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Jason Snafu Yap,

Well, local enthusiasts have spotted them at various major dept stores like Metro, OG, Toys R Us, but as for which individual stores have stock (or still have stock available), you'll just have to shop around at the ones around your area to find them.

I got my sets from OG at Albert Complex (Rochor Road) so that's a place that i can confirm that has stock (as of early March 2011).

  25. oh ok thanks, but r DIRECT plungers more durable than REVERSE plungers after modifications?

    ReplyDelete
  26. barrettm107cqbr,

From my experience, direct plungers tend to have better overall durability than reverse plungers after modding. But direct plungers can still break due to the extra load stress on their plunger rods and repeated impacts at the plunger heads, so those are the parts to pad and reinforce.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I thought so as well... just to ask the professionals, like you.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sweeeet. I need one of those bags. The clips keep on dropping from my pocket!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. A bit off-topic, but where could I buy empty clips without the darts? I have a bunch of excess streamlines, but nowhere to load them.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I suppose it's nice to see Hasbro making gear, but couldn't they just make molle already? Would it really be that hard for them?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Dom,

There are Nerf Mission Kits that are packaged with extra clips, but if you want to get the clips separately then you'll just have to search on Nerf forum trading sections or auction sites to find sellers who may have spare clips for sale individually.

    ReplyDelete
  32. should i get the long shot or the long strike

    ReplyDelete
  33. dosent the longstrike holds 3 clips
    and which one shoots further

    ReplyDelete
  34. Steven,

Yes, the Longstrike can hold 1 clip loaded + 2 additional clips (total 3 clips) while the Longshot can hold 1 clip loaded + 1 additional clip (total 2 clips). Note that the Longshot also comes with an additional front blaster which can be attached or detached and used separately.

Both blasters in stock condition are restricted to around the same 30-35ft range, due to their internal air restrictors being intact.

But after modification are done, the Longshot can produce much further range because it uses a larger direct plunger system, compared to the Longstrike with it's smaller reverse plunger system.

That's why the Longshot is so much more popular amongst experienced nerfers.

In addition, the Longshot is also now becoming more and more rare, so they are increasingly being seen as collectors items by most Nerf enthusiasts.

  35. Sg, which of the bags do you like the most, it would be interesting to see a comparison of them in terms of design, also which one do you feel nerfers like the most? And what is the best way to attach one to one's self, i have tried a few things but the bag has a bit too strong velcro for my liking because when i open it during a game and i am not sitting down clips or dart tend to fly out.

    ReplyDelete
  36. harpuia,

Personally i prefer the black/grey digital camo colour scheme, seems most local players like that colour scheme too, more towards an "urban" style. At the moment, only that version is available at dept stores in Singapore.

I've attached it to tactical belts and molle-spec vests, and they seem to attach quite well.

I agree, the velcro on the covers sometimes tend to grab abit too much and end up tipping loose foam darts out, i guess these ammo bags work better when holding heavier items like ammo clips.

  37. How well does this stay on a bandoleer around your chest? It seems like it would have a tendency to fall down to the base of the bandoleer.

Thanks for the reply in advanced, and thanks for all the reviews you do.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sean,

Yes, if it were to be attached to the bandolier strap, it will tend to slide to the base of the strap or the strap itself will slide around anyways.

One way to fix the position of the ammo bag is to clip the bandolier strap to a blaster (as a blaster sling) or clip it to a belt loop (so the strap will not slide round on its own), then use some additional string/cord or velcro to secure the ammo bag to the position you want.

Its all a matter of how you customize it.

  39. when will this be avalible in canada

    ReplyDelete
  40. Can the bag hold 18-shot clips? I have a web belt rig and none of the army issue mag pouches are large enough to hold them.

    thanks in advance

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sean,

Nope, the ammo bag is not large enough to hold 18-dart clips.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Does the Maverick REV-6 fit in the bag?

    ReplyDelete
  43. JMJqueseyo,

Nope, the Nerf Maverick is too large to fit in the Nerf ammo bag.

  44. I'm just wondering about the streamlines
(normal orange ones) I have noticed that they have different letters on the top, the darts that came with the stampede had E on the top. Alpha Trooper had T and the bondolier kit had A. it this a way of telling them apart or are they slightly different darts. Today i'm doing a test fire to see which performs better.
if you know anything could you let me know, Thanks SG

    ReplyDelete
  45. Samza,

Those molded letters on the tips just indicate different production batches for the streamlines, all of them are pretty much the same.

  46. would the Reflex IX-1 fit in the bag? That would be cool if it did.

  47. doea the hole in the tip of the steamline darts affect the range\accuracy?If so how can i stop it?

P.S iv'e got the sonic recon:)

    1. b-dog hippos,

From my experience, it doesn't affect the range or accuracy significantly... streamline foam darts are naturally inaccurate and inconsistent anyways.

The Maverick is abit too large to fit in it properly, though you might be able to squeeze it in, its just not so suitable.
