  4. Hi SGNerf, where can i buy mission tactical kits/accessory?..or it comes with the guns we buy and interchange ourselves?

  5. Kyle

Nerf Mission Kits are accessories that come in their own standalone packs, they are usually sold separately and displayed alongside the Nerf blasters in stores.

Marketing 101... more blaster colors and variations = more blaster purchases by Nerf enthusiasts & collectors. :)

  10. What ball blaster do you recommend? (one that can be easily available.)

  11. 0SumGuy0,

Perhaps the Nerf Reactor? I'm not really into ball shooters though. :)

  12. SgNerf, what's your favourite blaster of all time? (It can be stock, modded, or even homemade)

  13. Bednesti,

If i were to choose only one, it would be the Nerf Longshot (with brass breech). :)

  14. So I was wanting to as you say 'mod' a gun um,I'm not quite sure how I have a longstrike cs6 which out of the box is quite weak returning it is not an option and I am willing to do anything to increase range exept spring replacement all I am concerned about is something I heard about the plunger punching a hole into the internals of the gun. Any advice is much obliged, thanks in advance SGnerf!(:

    1. Anonymous,

You can refer to my Recon Mod Guide:

      http://modworks.blogspot.com/2009/10/nerf-recon-mod-guide.html

Both the Recon and Longstrike share similar reverse plunger internals so the modding process is the same.

As for the plunger breaking after it is modded, as mentioned in the guide, you have to install padding at the base of the plunger to absorb the impacts, that will help reduce the chances of breakage.

  16. SG Nerf,
After reading all of your mod guides (so detailed!), I only have one question. Have you ever failed a mod?

    1. Anonymous,

Yup, i have been through lots of failed mods... especially for the more advanced designs like brass breeched blasters, i usually go through a few prototype/failed iterations before coming up with the final working design.

In addition, i have also tested lots of blaster mods that require too much work or materials and yet only result in dismal performance gains, so i don't bother to post those up too. :)

  17. I have a spare Nerf Jolt spring lying around; is it possible for me to use it in a powerstock for my Recon?

    1. Anonymous,

Possible... but its a very short spring though, so the amount of extra "push" it can provide tends to be rather limited.

  18. I've had a look at the N-Strike Elite blasters, and this is my theory for them.
Most existing reverse plunger blasters and some electronic blasters from the N-Strike series will be turned into direct plunger N-
    strike Elite blasters.
    What do you think?

    1. Anonymous,

Thats most likely the plan for the model series. The Elite blasters are designed to supersede the older models.

Though for the flywheel blaster models, they would be improved with better flywheel systems, like in the Nerf Elite Stockade (rather than converted to plunger systems, due to the way they operate).

    2. Oh yeah, forgot to say that as well in my comment... :)
And also, they might make new blasters as well, like the Hail-fire.

  19. I wonder if Nerf will ever make a manually primed Rayven. That would be my favorite gun (if it was made).

  20. Should i get a second Longshot or a Whiteout Longstrike? In Australia there are heaps of Longshots and Longstrikes. :)

  21. What do recommend? Magstrike (N-Strike) or Speedswarm?
