  1. Well, it might be flywheel, but at least it can fire Full-Auto.

  2. So glad it is full auto. I know I can pound out rounds with the Stryfe twice as fast as this, but sometimes I want to be lazy. Feel like I want to mod the trigger as the spin up with half pull, and fire with full pull. and re wire the battery to the side so I can just jam a 9v in, and use that forward battery compartment for something else.

  3. Can I use normal Streamlines on this?

    1. Streamline darts work with the current Elite CS blasters so I don't see why not, but Elite darts are so much better, why would you want to? Time to upgrade, son.

  4. Wow, incredible RoF, it unloaded 16 darts in just over 5 secs! This blaster is a must own, those who keep calling this a bigger Barricade/Stryfe need to watch this video. Most impressive, hope it goes on sale this Fall.

  8. Interesting, finally they release a flywheel blaster with full-auto. Expecting much higher reliability than the voltage-modded Stampede?

    1. Nitron? why does everyone forget that the nitron existed when talking about this blaster? I am constantly seeing people comparing the mechanism to the tommy 20 or a stampede.

    2. I know, it's the stupidest thing. Second only to the idiot below's "Stock blaster no shooty so fast" (paraphrased). Magstrike proves that particular nugget of wisdom wrong.

I'd even lean toward a cam driven system in the rapidstrike like the nitron had. Which means (if true) that the pusher motor need nto be tampered with to increase rate of fire, just replace the cam.

Here's a study i did on rates of fire.

    3. "Stock blaster no shooty so fast". This actually made me lol.

The Nitron was a huge letdown in my book. ROF was abysmal to the point of negating any advantage of a full auto weapon. The fewer comparisons we can make to it, the happier I am. Thankfully, according to the video above, it looks like the Rapidstrike has a ROF to compare with a speedy trigger finger on a semi-auto gun, without all the work. Definitely an improvement over the Nitron.

As for comparisons to the Stampede, many were hoping for a plunger system rather than another flywheel gun. I'm guilty of keeping the wishful thinking alive as I completely missed the box art image pointing out the acceleration trigger plain as day (derp).

Concerning the Tommy 20, I only referenced that for its relatively small battery pack, demonstrating that you don't need massive power to drive a simple dart kicker. I can only assume Nerf has chosen to use larger batteries for longevity, which obviously isn't a bad thing. Also, given the position of the battery box, it looks like they've given some thought to balacing the weapon better than the lead-arsed Stampede. Again, points for the Rapidstrike.

At this point, the only complaint I can really muster about this weapon is the rather generic name, and that's hardly an issue to get my skivvies in a bundle over. So, the only real question left is WHEN I CAN HAS??

  9. Is this gun full auto or semi auto? Full auto nerf guns won't shoot that fast in stock condition

    1. Well obviously it does because the box says that it's full auto and it's shooting that fast.

  12. I was dreaming for this and it came true:) anyways did nerf officially announce this for fall?

  13. Would have been nicer if this is a flywheel gun if u can swapout stocks to other blaster without modding.

    1. Anonymous,

You can usually get battery converter shells from electronics parts or hobby shops.

I get mine from Unicell shop at Sim Lim Square in Singapore.
