Man, it's been where I am in the US for like 3 or 4 months. I like the feel of it. I didn't think I would like it, but then I saw it in the display box at my Target. A lot sleeker than it looked on the box. Not sure about the "concealability" factor. My computer just learned a new word too: concealability.
I spotted the initial batch of Nerf Alpha Troopers at Toys R Us Forum Mall, the stock should be in the process of distribution island-wide now, so you should be able to find them at most major dept stores over the next week or so.
Will this be in the Tampines TRU soon? I find they stock things in there quite slowly. They don't even have nerf spectres there. Any idea when the alpha trooper will reach this TRU branch?
Yes, the Nerf Alpha Trooper only became available in Singapore dept stores recently. Different countries have different release dates for new Nerf blaster models.
i saw one of ur comments last year on the price listing. u said u organise games. may i know when is the next one and other details such as location, time and etc?
I do think this gun is more worth than the barrel break in my opinion. And can I would like to ask, doesn't Singapore sell any mission kit? I seriously want a tactical scope for my Longstrike as the Flip-up sight is really not doing its job. Are the mission kits only available in M'sia department stores?
2 years back there used to be a Mission Kit with just 2 clips and some foam darts, but it looks like that has been replaced by the Flip Clip Set and Bandolier Kit, both are packaged with additional clips too.
Alternatively you could just buy spare clips separately from local members at the NerfSG forum trading section.

Just to tell you guys, the Alpha Trooper isn't worth the $20. When you do slam fire, it jams like every 3 shots, so you're alot better off with the Longstrike or Stampede.
Mine Doesn't jam every 2 shots. I would suggest exchanging your unit for a working one. My alpha trooper works great, hasn't jammed yet in my hands, this is most likely because I don't prime too fast. May I suggest that you make sure to pull the slam fire handle all the way back to make sure the darts load properly.
Look's great! I really want to get it, so I can't wait until it gets to all Australian stores! By the way check out my Nerf blog at www.nerfstuffisawesome.blogspot.com
@hudmanster Yeah yours is jamming because you aren't pulling the primer all the way back. Make sure you keep your motion smooth and you prime the blaster properly. You also are not better off with a longstrike. Ever.
@Dylan Apparently it's here in Australia already.
Have a look in Target over the next couple of weeks. It's supposed to be $30 =)
I have an off topic question, I'm currently in the US and am moving to Singapore. I have my beloved modded nerf recon that is painted black and red, but with an orange tip. Is it legal for me to bring it to Singapore painted the way it is?
ion.homedawg, yea it aint any problem as long as it isnt dangerous.Modders in Sg paint their whole gun including the orange tip and they still can use it in Sg..so yea... Cheers
It all depends on situation, as shown in the link i posted, blasters customized or painted to look like realistic firearms are not supposed to be carried around in public.
Even with an orange tip, if the authorities receive complaints from the public, they will take action.
On the other hand, if the realistically painted blasters were used in an official event like a Nerf game or Cosplay gathering, and clearance has been given by the relevant authorities in the area, there would be no issue with those blasters.
So its mainly how the blaster is used and handled in public that matters.
Could you please add my blog to the recommended sites list on the side of this blog? I really want to grow it so I get plenty of people reading it like your blog. Mines a little different, though. Please have a look at it at: http://nerfstuffisawesome.blogspot.com/ Thanks a lot.
How much is USD? I don't know the exchange rate.

Ashley,
ReplyDeleteSo far, the N-Strike Mission Kits have not been stocked at local dept stores in SG, but you can find some of them at dept stores in JB.
Note that the N-Strike Tactical Scope is just a hollow plastic tube, it has no magnification and is basically a prop item (like the Longshot Scope).
Only the Nerf Pinpoint Sight has an actual functional targeting reticule, so you could consider getting that instead.
just want to know is the barricade out in Singapore? if yes, then how much?
ReplyDeleteMag Lu,
ReplyDeleteThe Nerf Barricade is not available in stores yet.
I will post updates on this site when i have stock availability on it.

Gosh the suspense until your review is killing me.
ReplyDeleteI need to know if the AT plunger is the same size as the Recon plunger! =P
That helps, but would a black nerf recon with an orange tip be consider as " looking like a real gun"?
