Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS-50 on Amazon.com!

Just popped up on Amazon, the pre-order product pages for the upcoming Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS-50.

According to the site, it has a slated product avaliability date on... 9th September 2010!

Here are the Amazon links:

Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS-50

Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS-50 National Value Pack

Nerf N-Strike Stampede Mission Kit

I guess Amazon may probably remove those pre-order product pages soon, so here is a screenshot for you guys who missed it:

Stay tuned for more information (and hopefully photos) of the Stampede ECS-50 coming up soon!

  1. When is it going to come out in Singapore?

  2. hmmmm... i have noticed something with nerf, they name their blasters a certain way. the order is name-loading/firing type, and ammo capacity. take the raider for example. raider-CS-35 the CS is for clip system. this could give us an idea of what this blaster may be, i think it may be some sort of automatic because it has a 50-dart capacity, not shure of the other part though. Electric Chain System maybe? are we looking at the bigger brother to the vulcan here?

  3. Those links are down already, I think it was a fake. This picture on the Nerf Facebook page not very clearly says "BIG BLAST" In the bottom left of the 9-9-10 box.

  4. Emman Shafiq,

Well, if the Stampede ECS-50 is the supposed 9.9.10 blaster, then its official launch date should be 9th Sept 2010.

There isn't an officially announced date of stock avaliability for the Singapore market yet... so it could either be avaliable earlier, on the launch date itself or could be later too.

I guess we'll get more details closer to its launch.

  5. burntcustard,

Haha... yeah, looks like the usual "quickly take down the info!" move by online merchants.

Luckly i took a screenshot of the page itself. Will post it up instead. :)

I guess all these "previews" are nice little hints that the new blaster is on the way to Dept stores soon!

  6. The EBF at the end of the name of the gun most likely stands for electric clip system. There is CS in names of the recon and raider and other guns that are clip system. The Vulcan EBF stands for electric belt fed. So the is where the e is from. As for the 50, that is the number of darts it holds with the clip it comes with. It is like this for the rest of the nerf guns, so if those amazon pages were real you shouldn't be suprised to see nerf's first electric clip system balster:)

  7. Also for the name "big blast was probably the original name, but once the people at nerf figured out that it was already used, then they changed it. Or mabye Big Blast was the prototype name. Oh yeah please say if you agree with my earlier post:)

  8. @burncustard

I don't think it was a fake at all. SG Nerf sent me the link and I saw it live. Also on that note I do have other information pointing towards the Stampede being released in September directly from a retailer including item numbers used by Hasbro for the product.

    @nerf modder
I have to agree with you, the ECS-50 at the end points towards it being 50 clip capacity, and similar to the Vulcan's EBF-25 (Electronic Belt Feed 25) I would guess at the Stampede being Electronic Clip System 50... also it requires 6 D Size batteries to operate, according to what was seen on Amazon.

Regardless, I look forward to seeing it in the flesh and have my finger close to the pulse!

  9. I suppose this is somekind of surprise from Nerf.First, why do they take it out of amazon suddenly?

Lastly,i checked youtube, the videos, like the Forever the sickest kids going to the Nerf house or something, there isn't anything about the stampede. And they even mentioned about the tactical vest in the video.

  10. The big question is what a 50 dart clip will look like. The largest capacity magazines for real guns are double drum mags. So that is the only thing i can think of: a double drum magazine. But that would very bulcky and akward. Any other ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I also hope it will have some type of selector switch on it for safe, full auto, or semi auto.

    ReplyDelete
  12. And I wonder if what is in the Stampede mission kit is what was supposed to be in the big blast mission kit: A tactical rail bipod, a tactical shield and a 18 dart cilp? I doubt there's a tactical shield, but the bipod and clip seem plausible. The bipod would be escpecially cool on the longstrike:)

    ReplyDelete
  13. One last thing about the capacity. Mabye it has two barrels like in the game, except with two spots to put clips. Then it could come with a reversed drum mag so you could put two drums in at the same time. That would be cool.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I heard that it will be very cutomizable. Or at least I hope. Does that mean that it will probably have a lot of tactical rails and acceseries?

  15. Can you inform me when will 'Nerf N-Strike Elite' will come to Singapore?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hi SG,

I know this is a little off topic, but do you know how to take the air restrictor and positioning pin out of a strikefire?

    Thanks
    Gartha Theblu

    ReplyDelete
  17. I Hope its an automatic rifle instead of a reshelled vulcan

    ReplyDelete
  18. Gartha Theblu,

For the Strikefire, you could open up the casing and just cut (or sometimes twist) open the internal barrel to remove the AR, similiar to removing the AR on a Recon.

Alternatively, you could also just use a pair of needle-nose pliers and just pull out the dart post directly through the front of the barrel.

  20. Agent,

Yup, I also found the info on it yesterday and posted it on the NerfSG forum, had some discussions about it with local nerfers over there too.

Imho, at the moment the current info is abit sketchy and it's not yet announced on the more "official" online retailer sites like Amazon or by Nerf.

I'll probably wait for more solid info to be released before doing some blog coverage on this blaster. :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi SG,

Thanks for the great help for the strikefire. I managed to get the air restrictor out quite easily, but the dart positioning pin won't come out when i pull it. Any other ideas?

Also, I tried adding some plunger padding made out of felt to the modified bkaster. Do you have any other material suggestions?

    Thanks
    Gartha Theblu

    ReplyDelete
  22. Gartha Theblu,

I guess you'll have to really put in some more strength to twist and pull out the dart post.

For plunger padding, i'd recommend the "Volkmar-Fix" soft rubber/foam padding that i often mention in my Mod guides.

Those work very well in cushioning the bolt to plunger impacts and helps to prolong the durability of the plungers.

  23. Looks like we got a new generation of nerf coming!

  24. Hey NerfSG, what was in the Stampede mission kit before the link was deleted?

    ReplyDelete
  25. SureShot,

Well, there wasn't much info on Amazon's page about the Stampede Mission kit (other than its 9th Sept 2010 stock availability).

But just a month earlier, the Forbidden Planet UK website posted up their "Nerf Big Blast" pre-order pages (most likely the codename for the Stampede), which had some interesting details on the products.

Check out the info at my thread over at the NerfHaven forum:

  26. What is happening to my raider? Every time I rapid fire it, some darts wont fly, its shot but it will often be stuck on the barrel. Sometimes, two of the darts comes out from the gun but the distance is only like 5-7ft. Plz help me..

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thanks, I looked at it but a tactical sheild seems unlikly. But if the folding bipod is for the tactical rail that would be sweet, especially on the longstrike. Also I hope the 18 round clip would be like a cool ak-47 clip.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Emman Shafiq,

If you have 2 darts getting stuck or firing out at the same time, then it sounds like either you are not performing the slam-fire properly (priming completely back and then completely forwards) so the foam darts are not chambering properly... or your Raider has some hardware issues with dart chambering.

Try doing the slam-fire properly and at a slower pace for a start, then steadily increase the slam-firing speed from there. See if it helps.

Otherwise, if its a hardware problem, i can't really help you further unless you can troubleshoot it on your own and find the specific part thats causing the issue.

  31. Is there a nerf RF20 or Magstrike in JB shopping malls? If so, what mall? Thx. If there aren't any, would you recommend me a blaster that isn't sold in Singapore. Thx again.

    ReplyDelete
  32. And is there any Rocket Launcher or whatever, thx again.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Emman Shafiq,

I've not heard of the RF20 or Magstrike being avaliable at the JB shopping malls lately.

Maybe you could look out for blasters like the Hornet, maybe also Longshots (quite limited stock in SG at the moment).

Also, see if you can find the Nerf Pinpoint Sight, that item is not avaliable in SG too.

Rocket launcher? No idea about those.

  34. If you look back at the press release from Nerf they talk about two of their previously released guns...the Vulcan and the Raider. They talk about how each gun was a first, first electronically fed and the highest ammo capacity. Why talk about those two guns if the new gun isn't going to be electronically fed and have a high ammo capacity. It just all makes sense!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Crewbomber27,

So far, the bits of info that have been popping up (and usually promptly removed) on online merchant websites mention that the Stampede (or "Big Blast") point towards a blaster design that uses 6 x D-sized batteries, fires in full-auto, is clip-fed and has a 50 dart ammo capacity.

Anyways, the final design and specs are not revealed yet, so we will just have to look out for more information soon from Nerf. :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Now CS can also mean customizable system like the Recon CS-6. also I think amazon is playing a trick on us. plus it really sucks the gun has to come out a month after school starts

    ReplyDelete
  37. Is the product dimensions 4.5 x 30 x 15 in?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wizz5000,

Well... to my knowledge, the "CS" label is short form for "clip system".

Thats why all the N-strike blasters that use clips have the "CS" label.

Therefore, with the Stampede supposedly getting a "ECS" label, it could mean "Electronic Clip System". Thats still speculation at this point in time though.

We'll only know for sure once more confirmed information is released for the Stampede. :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Mcr93,

It probably refers to the box dimensions.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well i did the measurements, and it turns out to be the box. It's nothing liek the size of the vulcan box was. So im probably gonna go with the size of between a recon and raider.

  43. Have you tried to purchase this?

    ReplyDelete
  44. USNerf,

Yup, if you can search around for the new Amazon links, they could be put on pre-order and Amazon would send them out once the stock is avaliable.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nerf announced this on their facebook as the stampede ecs. They did not say ecs 50. That could mean it does not have 50 darts. On another note, when this comes out, do you think that nerf could make a fully automatic pistol? I would love that!

  47. when i saw a video of the gun firing on youtube it looked much bigger then a regular rifle, hopefully it wont be so large on an older teenager or adult.

    ReplyDelete
  48. well if you played any of the nerf video games this gun seems to be just like the spartan ncs-12, its a three shot burst clip gun. look it up on google and see the resemblince.
