Posted up on NerfHaven by kevinericon, is what looks like an as yet un-named Nerf blaster.
Interestingly, it resembles the Spartan NCS-12 thats featured in the Wii Nerf N-Strike Game.
Is it a prototype? A final production model? or just a really good photochop? :)
Only time will tell... hopefully more information pops up about it.
Note: The original forum thread that this photo appeared in has since been deleted.
Looks like a reshelled LONGSHOT, possibly more powerfull, and it is most likely not photoshopped.
ReplyDeleteis this the Stampede ECS-50? looks like vulcan and the Spartan. but ECS means electrical clip system right? maybe this is the Stampede? If it is... then, wooooooooohoooooooooooooo!!
ReplyDeletei realise that it has no cocking mechanism like the vulcan.
ReplyDeletemostly all the Nerf guns in the game ani't real
Deleteecs 50 stampede maybe?
ReplyDeleteYou should have mentioned that the clip in the blaster is an 18-dart clip, which has been seen before.
ReplyDeleteIMO the orange bit at the back of the stock looks removable, implying that batteries go in the stock.
I would love it if it is electric, and as powerful as the Vulcan (more would be nice, but that's not going to happen) because then I could put a couple of airsoft gun batteries in there and use a drum-mag with it :D
link does not work.
ReplyDeleteIt does not look like photoshop, I mean, based on the light angle and the floor used on the background, but the blaster look too glossy, not the style used recently by hasbro...
ReplyDeleteMy opinion is, a real blaster but not from Nerf.
huh, the thread has disapeared
ReplyDeleteStampede ecs 50
ReplyDeletemaybe they are two 25 dart clips on each side soooo it's like a 2 dart burst machine gun (that would be awesome)
Emman, you mean it doesn't have a cocking mechanism unlike the vulcan and every other gun except as. the vulcan has the same piece as the ls this however doesn't have one. it maybe an electrical only.
ReplyDeleteNo, the priming handle just wasn't inserted in that one.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to getting my mits on it, and modding it.
ReplyDeleteThis is an insane photo edit... or the real Stampede... or a homemade shell. The question is: will this top the crossbow and be the most famous gun ever? It looks like that may be possible. ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it really does look like the Spartan NCS-12 but the front resembles a Vulcan, altogether very interesting though.
ReplyDeleteI can see those clips being very popular.
ReplyDeleteGun looks coo. Can't wait to find out more info on it.
It does look a lot like the Spartan.. pretty awesome, I want one :D
ReplyDeleteAlso the bolt isn't usually exposed like that as it is in the pic so I would be inclined to think that there is actually a cover and cocking handle that should go over that section.
No mater what the power or priming method is, that thing is going to look SWEET with a nice paint job.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking more closely, I think that this may be a scam... I notice that there's no name on the blaster and the plunger (seen through the "window" on the blaster) is out of line with the clip. Also, the clip looks like a few clips fused together with a logo airbrushed on, and , knowing Nerf, they would probably use a drum magazine anyway. This, in my opinion, is probably a fake shell with a Longshot plunger and a modded clip for realism... you never know till it comes out, tho. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks to me like a prototype considering the quality of the plastic and the fact they threw tactical rails everywhere (Two on top, 1/2 on side and two on bottom). It's definetly going to be battery powered considering that long bulge running along the side on the stock. Also the clip slot looks unfinished for some reason...
ReplyDeleteJust to add fuel to the fire:
ReplyDeletehttp://nerfipedia.wikia.com/wiki/Spartan_NCS-12
This page originally stated that "someone working at Nerf" said that the Spartan was now in the boxing process.
ROFL @ RedOx, rrrrriiiight.
ReplyDeleteIt's not finished product because no paints.
Fake. The clip looks like it was added in photoshop and the front looks exactly like a Vulcans
ReplyDeleteHere's what we really need to know, who took this picture, where did Kevinericon get this picture from, it didn't magically pop out of no where.
ReplyDeleteThe link doesn't work - I think that Hasbro has ordered Nerfhaven's Administrators to remove all traces of that thread. Also, this thing is just begging for a voltage upgrade.
ReplyDelete@people who think that the front portion is from the vulcan:
ReplyDeleteNope, sorry. :P
I'm looking at my vulcan right now, and although it closely resembles it, its not a match.
And if you look closely, you can see a NERF logo and the N-Strike logo on the stock.
ReplyDeleteThere's no proof that it's real or fake, so we'll just have to wait.
ReplyDeleteTony, anyone can airbrush on a Nerf logo and make a shell with a plunger in it. It just doesn't seem realistic, a PERFECT copy from the Nerf game. ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe kevinericon knows somebody who works at Nerf?
ReplyDeleteIt Strongly Resembles the Spartan NCS12 a blaster that does a triple dart burst on each trigger pull.
ReplyDeleteIt has a 12 round ammuniton capacity and is automatic. the only thing this picture is missing is tha bolt mechanism
Redox,
ReplyDeleteIt's not an exact match, and don't you think that the detail is too good for a forger?
Ok everyone. THIS IS ONE OF THE 9-9-10 BLASTERS
ReplyDeleteIt is called the big blast.
it has a bolt like the longshots that is not inserted
It has a direct plunger system like the longshot
It has a 18 dart clip
It is not fake
The main 9-9-10 gun is called the bigblast.
want proof?
go google and type nerf tacticool vest spelt like that
top link
3rd pic and click
ctrl+ 3 times and scroll to 9-9-10 box
what does it say?
If im wrong im wrong.
Time will tell.
AlmostExperts.
Most nerf guns have the name of it on the side with no screws and since this is the side with no screws, there should be a name, for example "Stampede ECS-50" but after enhancing the picture, and zooming in, i didn't see any name. Now why wouldn't they put the name of the gun but the logo? Suspense?
ReplyDeleteIf it is fake, and they wanted to make it seem real, they should of added the name of the gun on the side.
I messed up. The gun has the title of the gun on both sides. But yet still this Nerf gun has no name on the side.
ReplyDelete^^^^^I can't believe no one saw that before... holy cow. there's no doubt this is the 9.9.10 blaster. battery storage in the back, no priming handle (inserted, but no visible slot either), and its way to good lookin for a shop.
ReplyDeleteHhhhhhhhhhmm, just realized it might run on an electronically primed direct plunger system.<:D
ReplyDelete@RSDmaxam: LOL I wrote that! It's true, that a nerf employee did say it was in the boxing process. I think he was a fake though. But seeing as the spartan is real (maybe), I guess he wasn't faking. I sure hope this thing is good.
ReplyDeleteit looks like the f2000 from modern warfare
ReplyDeletealso i see no pump or pull back mechanism so i'm thinking automatic almost like an assault rifle
anyone else think of the possibility of the clips being 18 shot straight clips instead of 12 shot clips like the game ?
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand it could be that spempede ECS50. (not that i know)
ReplyDeletethats totaly cool
ReplyDeleteThe access door to unjam darts is blocked, i think its a fake, or at least a prototype that has errors.
ReplyDeleteThe jam door is under the tactical rail, Zano.
ReplyDeleteThose 18-dart clips pop up on ebay from time to time, usually for $50+. Not a photoshop, just probably a model someone leaked for some extra cash. It isn't finished cosmetically because of the missing Nerf branding on the side, but it's definitely real.
ReplyDeleteThe NERF logo IS on the gun!
ReplyDeleteit looks like a vulcan barrel and a firefly handle and stalk it most likely has a bolt like a longshot or longstrike but u can be sure
ReplyDeleteStrange. Part of this looks like something Nerf would make, while another part of it looks like something Buzzbee might make. Guess we'll wait and find out.
ReplyDeleteAccording to a nerf update on face book the gun is called the N-Strike Stampede ECS
ReplyDeleteJust to let everyone know, Nerf officialy announced that this blaster is called the Stampede.
ReplyDeletehey has anyone thought that nerf would make new smaller darts to fit 50 in the clip
ReplyDeletei think that nerf would make new bullrts probably smaller so it will hold50 darts it makes sense but theywould have to make a new aspect for the clip i might be wrong
ReplyDeleteALRIGHT! everyone! this is not the stampede its probably a prototype nerf is working on and an employee took a picture to make more suspence.
ReplyDeleteOk the entire back looks like a spartan but no cocking mechanism.
ReplyDeleteThe front looks like a vulcan.
IMO a prototype
For all you Nerf Sparten fanboys out there this is not ''t3h spart3nz''

ReplyDeletewell its real
Check online to see this gun in action.. look for unreleased nerf guns 2010.. by nzgolem.. these kids got to saw the "fallen off truck" nerf guns
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if anyone has noticed but if you look at where the breach is you can make out some sort of rounded corner and it also looks like it lines up with the clip side and make no mistake we have seen these sort of clips before so I do reckon it will be coming out [also evidence is that the youtube video called "3 new nerf guns unreleased"]. I am really seriously excited
ReplyDeleteits the stampede
ReplyDeletewell it turns out it is real
