If these two guns pics came out today, I wonder when the stampede's pic will come out? Because nerf said nothing about these, yet they want a lot of hype about the stampede.
That's interesting how it doesn't include a stock, and the 18-dart drum seems somewhat impractical. Why have an 18 when you have a 35? Also, the slam-fire handle doesn't have a "wall" on the front end, making a hand susceptible to slipping off.
I definitely prefer this to the Raider. It looks smaller and more compact, meaning it has greater agility. The 18 dart clip also contributes to this. Looks to me like a must-buy for any assault soldier. I, as a sniper and scout, might even want it if it has good range! ;)
I really hope they swap the front nub for a threaded one, that's one thing that really disappointed me about the raider. It's sad that the recon is the only gun that accepts both barrel and stock swaps.
I have confirmation that the Alpha Trooper will be hitting retail in August, and I found the price. On taobao.com, it costs $40. So the Alpha trooper will cost $35 - $40.
@mahad At my local target store they have it in there catalog for 19.99, I went there and they didnt have it in yet. They didnt know when they would get it in tho.
I recently bought it for $19.99 at a target here in south carolina. It works really well, but a shorter range than the recon. The 18 drum mag is awesome because its light but has more ammo!
I was thinking of gluing a longshot front gun trigger handle to the pirming mechanism on the alpha trooper so its like a mini raider. i wonder if it will work...
i saw the nerf trooper for $23 best nerf gun ever .i did add my scope off my longshot and add my friends recon stock (he hasent found out) love the idea of the 18 barrell dart drum i did think it was going to be bigger but it is good for space tho best nerf gun
looks like a recon merged with a raider
ReplyDeleteAlso will this be the 18 round clip that is supposed to be in the Stampede's Mission Kit?

ReplyDeleteexactly but in my opinion the 18 shot clip could fit inside a longstrike stock because of how slim it is
ReplyDeletedont u ?
@Michael well the cocking mechanism stops the handle from "slipping off" and you would know that if you have even ever owned a raider or recon...
ReplyDeleteAre the new Alpha trooper and specter fake or real and if they are real when well they come out.
ReplyDeleteAmir,
ReplyDeleteSo far, these blasters have only been spotted on websites but not yet announced officially by Nerf. No confirmed product release dates yet either.
We will just need to keep a lookout for more info, or when the blasters eventually appear on store shelves. :)

ReplyDeleteFinally. Nerf is FINALLY being sensible and giving a DECENT gun a shotgun grip. Yes LSFG, I'm looking at you.

ReplyDeleteAgreed that it looks like a Raider/Recon Merge, but, It lacks a shoulder stock when it has an obvious place for one!
