That is really neat. Interesting how everything is being converted to battery powered these days. Most recent Nerf guns can't even work without them (Stampede, Barricade, this one). I guess if it gets good ranges though we shouldn't have to worry. Right?
Probably takes D-batteries as well like the Vulcan/Stampede.
BTW, SGNerf, will this gun come out anytime soon? And from the looks of it, will it be cheaper than both the vulcan and stampede? CUZ I FRIKKIN' WANT A FULL AUTO GUN!!!!!
so, it has 20 bullets, a removable stock, uses micro darts, no tactical rails and runs on 6 C batteries. From what I know right now the only reason anyone wouldn't want it is because of the lack of a tactical rail
This thing looks awesome! This looks as though it will use the same sort of system to fire as the Hyperfire, but with an automated mechanism. Still looks cool, though, even if it does weigh a lot. Also please check out my blog at: www.nerfstuffisawesome.blogspot.com
that stock looks like it'd fit on a longstrike, and the grip looks virtually the same. I wonder if there's a stock mod possible with the longstrike to do the same thing as this one does, unclip at the touch of a button... I suppose we'll have to wait until it comes out to know.
Hey SG Nerf, you sure its a Nerf brand gun? Doesn't look like it. I mean sure, it looks cool, but the stock doesn't look like the normal ones. Also, no tactical rail or reverse rail. And, I'm kinda disappointed that it's not a manual gun. Guns with batteries normally cost much more. :(
Hey I have a question. You've been running a nerf blog for a while, and i just started. I wanted to know if its illegal to post a picture from like google images on your own blog? Or from a retail store website like toys r us ect. Let me know as soon as possible thanks!
Well, it is common courtesy to credit the source of where you got the photos from.
As long as you indicate proper credits to the source (ie. "Photos are from..."), it is usually okay.
But do note that the owners of the photos do have a right to request for them to be taken down from your site (for various reasons), so you'll have to comply with those requests too.
Hey SG Nerf What do you recommend for my new nerf blog, I'm still working on it. It's at http://nerfboyz.wordpress.com/ I have followed your blog for about a year now and have learned a ton, Thanks!
Your blog site looks good, the Vulcan mod you posted is well written and informative.
Just keep posting useful content on your blog that would be of interest to Nerf enthusiasts and your blog readership will naturally increase in just a matter of time. :)
If any of you know about Google's 3d Warehouse for Sketchup, if you go there and look up "Anarchania Hellspawn" then this thing is like a doppleganger.
A bit of an odd duck. It's not the greatest, unless there's a "shoot all 20 at one go" option, which I suspect doesn't exist -- the video suggest it's a single plunger and air pipe with a rotating (exposed) mag. So essentially, it is a Stampede with no easy way to reload it.
The reload cycle is the key thing. You probably won't need more than 20 rounds if you are careful, but a Stampede can be easily reloaded during a skirmish for much more ammo capacity.
ROF is likely to be similiar to the Stampede, since it's still 9V. Difference in battery size means it's a hassle.
Overall, for those who are in the clip system, this isn't quite that great. "No tactical rail" is quite low on the list; reuse of ammo, reloading and battery compatibility are bigger issues.
Samza, When watching this video in HD you can see kevinericon made a "box" around the nerf logo, when you put your mouse over this box it will clarify that. Though the yellow nerf logo blends in well with the rest of the yellow on the blaster and it is understandable that you missed it, I missed it the first few times I watched this video.
What brand is this?
ReplyDeleteJosh,
ReplyDeleteIts a Nerf brand blaster.

When and where can u buy it?
ReplyDeleteI wish they would stop spewing out new stuff, I cant keep up!
ReplyDeleteLooks different to most nerf guns though
in my opinion i think it looks REALLY alike to the hydra in the nerf elite video game
ReplyDelete2 words:
ReplyDeleteBADASSEDLY AWESOME!!!

Isn't this like a Rapid Fire 20 except slower and heavier?
ReplyDeletethat stock looks like it'd fit on a longstrike, and the grip looks virtually the same. I wonder if there's a stock mod possible with the longstrike to do the same thing as this one does, unclip at the touch of a button... I suppose we'll have to wait until it comes out to know.
ReplyDeletelooks like some better batteries, motors, spring and barrels would turn this thing into a monster. I hope to see some mods on it once it comes out
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to watch the video. Can you describe it in words?

Nerf Meagafan,
ReplyDeleteYes, it has the Nerf and Dart Tag logos on the casing. Watch the video in HD and you will see it.

ReplyDeletewikipedia said that this gun is like a stampede combined with a rapid fire as-20

What Model Is this.i guess its called trail blazer cs-something? depending on the number of darts:-)
ReplyDeleteI clocked The Dart Tag 20 with a higher rate of fire than a Stampede or Vulcan, it may have a different motor that runs faster with 9 volts.
ReplyDeletethis is oviously not nerf. it has no nerf logo and has no tactical rails. if it were anything it would be a rev 20 not cs. (rev is revolver)

could you tell me if they are going to make some of the nerf guns from the nerf elite game.
ReplyDeletealso, where vdoes kevinericon get the video
Samza,
ReplyDeleteIf i come across any information, i'll update it on this site.
As for the video, you can just ask kevinericon about it at his youtube channel.
When do you think this will be out in stores in the USA? Do you expect it to be before Christmas?
