  2. I wonder what the internals will be like! It looks like it could yet another reshelled Recon, but since it works like a Maverick, who knows? If it's like a Maverick I just hope it doesn't have the same bad mechanical problems.

  3. Soooo it's a Maverick with stock and barrel attachment, neat?

  4. I think this is the gun of the 9-9-10 this or the alpha trooper cs-18 i think the stampede is not real

  6. Is the folding stock removable?

  7. In case you needed a Maverick with less ammo?

  8. cool gun but about how much would it cost ?

  9. Recon pistol + the extension barrel of this = Look alike of the MK23 SOCOM......

  10. It kinda looks like the Vengeance Rev 6 from the nerf game. Can't wait for it to come out.

    I WANT ONE!!!

  13. Soooo.....
Nerf decided to undermine their own products, the Recon and Maverick, and merge them to create a blaster with less ammo? Phayl... Epik Phayl.

  14. If you want a 5 dart sniper, buy a BlastFire. It's semi-auto, probably shoots further, and has it's blast mode. ;)

  15. as far as i can tell unless it shoots really far then it is inferior to anything that works on the clip system

  16. I would by it, but only for the silencer.

  17. @SureShot if you look closely at the front and back picture, it shows that both the barrel and the stock components are removable.

  18. It seems like all these new blasters are replicas of those from the video game. Question is, will they surpass our expectations or be a huge let down? I'll probably still buy it.

  19. the stock and barrel are awsome the gu itself not realy

  20. @Amir I don't know about that. With some spray paint, modding, and detailing, that gun has some bad*** potential.

  21. The Spectre REV-5 , Cool name it's just that it's a maverick with only 5 darts (not 6) which I don't get but it's merged with a recon stock and handle? Well it better have better range and accuracy than my maverick REV-6.
The barrel looks cool though. I don't really have high hopes for this gun but I might be surprised

  22. News Flash! Nerf has officially announced on their Facebook page that this is real and will be a walmart exclusive. It will be released in October.

  23. Did anyone else notice the lack of plunger housing sticking out in the back like the Recon and Raider? Looks like this one will be less powerful.

  24. I have 100% confirmation according to Nerf that this gun will be coming out in October 2010. It will be a walmart exclusive and has a folding stock.

  30. is the silencer attachment attach to the longshot?

and is it out in australia?

    ReplyDelete
  31. killer,

Yes, the Spectre's front barrel attachment can be attached to a Longshot (or any other attachment compatible N-Strike blaster).

I've no idea on the availability of it in Australia though, you'd just have to check at the dept stores around your area.

  32. The mavericks arent that bad people, the newer ones arent as good as the old ones because they jam more...the spectra seems okay...i hope its a better stealth than the deploy

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi I was wondering if the Spectre will come out in a clear version?
    Do you know?
Also, will the gun ever get cheaper because I don't want to waist money.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Evan,

No news of that happening so far.

As for price, just check at your local dept stores and shop around for special store promotions or discounts.

  35. SG Nerf,
In a nerf battle, would folding stock of the spectre fit appropriately with the recon? Like as in would the spectre stock be as comfortable as the raider stock?

    Thanx
    Dsu

    ReplyDelete
  36. DSU,

Well, the Spectre shoulder stock can fit on the Recon, but due to it's foldable feature it's not as rigid in terms of stability. I would say the Raider shoulder stock is more sturdy.
