I wonder how it moves down to shoot the next row of darts....
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much it'd cost to import a few of these over
ReplyDeleteNice looking at this gives me hope that there will be more "improved" nerf products
ReplyDeleteIt detects the dart
ReplyDeleteYo. For everyone who wants to find out how this works I spotted a very good description by iMod. Take a look at his blog.
ReplyDeleteFinally sgnerf u have not been posting anything for a long time and then I went to check your blog again and I saw rough cut 2times4 strongarm fire strike and best part of all stryfe
ReplyDeletenobody noticed that on wired.com they said Rough Cut 2x4 as Ruff Cut......
ReplyDeleteAs I converted,RM$80.90= SG$32.3945
ReplyDeleteHoly whoa those guys take a long time to load a few darts!
ReplyDeleteCool! Its look like an improved double barrel.. but this one looks way better..even looks like real shotgun.. cool..
ReplyDeleteSg nerf when is it coming out in sg?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteHasbro Singapore has indicated that they will only be released locally in 2013.
Is it still available in Malaysia?
ReplyDeleteSG i have an update on the rapid strike mission kit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-NERF-N-Strike-Rapid-Strike-Mission-Kit-Gun-With-36-Darts-2-Clips-/281033066777?pt=Outdoor_Toys_Structures_US&hash=item416ee04919
ReplyDeleteplease take a look
thanks!
Sgnerf, this is rather of topic. is the stampede and attack unit still available in Singapore? If yes, which mall? Eg forum mall
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteBoth seem to be currently all sold out in Singapore.
If I had to take a guess on how this blaster "knows" which barrel the dart is in, I would have to say that the gun uses a valve system. It makes sense due to the nature of it's firing. Dart loaded=open valve, Non loaded=closed valve.
ReplyDeleteHi SG! I've spotted the stryfe on amazon U.S.A.
ReplyDeleteSG Nerf,
ReplyDeleteIs the Nerf Vortex Diatron is released in SG? Is Nerf Longshot still in SG?
Anonymous,
DeleteAt this current moment, the Vortex Diatron is still not available locally yet.
The Nerf Longshot seems to be now sold out at most places, i guess you'll have to scout around the local dept stores to look for remaining sets.
Nerf elite retaliator is sold out at vivo toysrus, like seriously.
ReplyDeleteHey sgnerf you should check out gunvsgun it's so awesome and hilarious
ReplyDeleteya its great to watch
Deletehi sg nerf, i'm new to nerf and was wondering which website would u highly recommend to get older blasters which are sold out in singapore and also to get large amounts of ammo? thx.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteFor the older blasters, you can try checking eBay.com to find sellers who may have them for sale.
Alternatively, you can also check the various Nerf forums (ie. NerfSG forum if you are in Singapore) to find sellers at the forum trading sections.
thank you.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a nice blaster you have there!!! Are they going to sell them in Australia?
ReplyDeleteHey! I saw one of those on ebay today! $100 usd they wanted for it!
ReplyDeleteHi SG Nerf! Do you mind linking my website to your blog? Thanks! http://nerfeventorganisers.weebly.com/
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteSorry, i cannot add your website link as it is a commercial operation which charges fees for organizing Nerf games and events.
This is because i have added similar links before and got feedback from people when they had issues/complaints with the commercial operation, as they somehow assumed i was involved in it (which i wasn't) since the link was on my blog... hence to avoid anymore such implications and problems, i am only adding links which are non-commercial in nature.
Hey SGNerf,
ReplyDeleteI do not know if you have already heard this but,Nerf and Hasbro have recently announced the Elite version of the Rayven CS-18.Will you make a post on it?
CHECK THIS OUT!!!!!!! http://www.xmasfiresale.co.uk/nerf+vortex+diatron?ggkey=nerf+vortex+diatron
ReplyDeleteall the elite blasters that have been announced!
Hey! Does the rate of updating your domain depend on specific things or you compose blog articles when you have a specific mood or you create when you have time? Can't wait to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteInfinityOfIdeas,
DeleteNo specific timing or preferences... i just post news and reviews whenever i have anything new to share, it also depends on whether i have spare time to post too.
Hi sgnerf, which part of malaysia sells this blaster? Johor, Penang,Kuala Lumpur? By the way I am also a nerf enthusiast in Singapore. I have 36 nerf guns in total. And is the rapid fire 20, the magstrike, and the alpha trooper available in Singapore. If it is not, how am I suppose to get it other than ordering from Ebay or Amazon? Can you sell one of these blasters to me?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteI've no idea which exact dept stores in Malaysia they are available at either, i guess you'll just have to shop around to find them.
As for the Rapid Fire 20, Magstrike and Alpha Trooper, they are no longer available locally, so you'll have to order them in from online. Just do a search and find sites that can ship items internationally, then follow their ordering instructions.
Btw, i personally don't have any spares of those blasters for sale, but you could consider checking the NerfSG forum marketplace section to find other local Nerfers who may have them for sale (note that you will need a forum account to access that section).
The elite rayven just popped up on amazon.com
ReplyDeleteWhere is the rough cut sold? I save enough money to buy. Someone please comment on my fb page. Danny Fantom is my fb name please add my so i can get some advice.thx
ReplyDeleteI bought one on ebay for 32$ ;-)
ReplyDeleteSGNerf,it seems you have not seen some of my posts about the new Elite and Vortex Blasters so i am going to tell you everything now:
ReplyDelete1) I found Reviews on Youtube of all of these Blasters, what i see by far is that the Stryfe and the Rough Cut 2x4 are the best, and that the Diatron is the worst.
2) Check Ebay and Amazon some Blasters are there and you can buy them.
3) Also i have heard that all of the new Elite Blasters are in some ToysRus stores(including the new Vortex Diatron)
Please answer to this post and check out the Reviews!
Anonymous,
DeleteYup, i've seen all those online reviews and news too (i also have some of those new blasters with me), just no time to do up my own reviews on them yet. :)
As there are already lots of detailed reviews on those new models, i guess there isn't much new info i can add on them anyways.
ihave found out the reason why rough cut is able to shoot a dart even from the lower barrel when the upper barrel is not loaded. As most of you know, almost every nerf gun have air restrictor and you guys should know how it looks like. Whrn the dart is loaded in, the dart will open the air restrictor so air will flow out. when the dart is removed, the spring in the air restrictor will cause it to br sealed up so it is almost air tight. If there is another dart in the lower barrel, the air restrictor will do its work by blocking the air on the upper barrel. So i hope you guys will understand that the air restrictor is still useful in some blasters e.g. as-6 hornet and rapid fire. :)
ReplyDeleteHey SG, do you know whens the nstrike elite strongarm comin to singapore? :)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteShould be sometime in early 2013 (no news exactly when so far though), i guess you'll just have to keep a lookout in local dept stores for them.
Should I get a Rough Cut 2X4 or a Stryfe? They are both cool, but which one is better for battle?
ReplyDeleteThe Boy who mods anything,
DeleteFor effective game usage, most users usually go for clip-fed blasters, 'cos they are easier and quicker to reload... so the Stryfe would have the advantage.
On the other hand, i think the Rough Cut would be ideal as a secondary blaster or sidearm too.
THis is cool

One thing I've noticed with this guy and the dart rail from the Barrel Break is that with a little practice you can reload it in three motions.
ReplyDeleteYou grab the first four darts and load them into one side of the blaster, repeat for the other side, and then give them a pat down to make sure they are in... And there you have it. A full reload in a couple seconds.
It's currently my new favorite toy alongside the Triad. (Which uses a similar dart detecting feature.)
Hey sgnerf can you please post something already and nerfsg said I was banned I know you have something to do with nerfsg like you are the co owner or something nerfsg said I was banned due to anti social behavior WHAT! I don't know what they are talking about and sasuker103 said f word and why he don't get banned what kind of fairness is this ?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteWhat is your forum nickname? We can check and see what was the issue.
Nerfbaraka
ReplyDeleteNerfbaraka,
DeleteOkay, i've checked with the moderators and from the records and chat logs your account was banned because of repeated comments you posted on the chat box which annoyed many members and alot of complaints were submitted, hence you were banned.
If you don't realize it, what you posted actually really annoyed other members.
The moderators have unbanned you for now, but please don't do such things anymore in the future, or you will be banned again.
Hey Sg Nerf,
ReplyDeleteDo you think that Nerf will ever make an elite version of a gun like the Magstrike ( amazing ROF ) and maybe with more distance ??? If they do, i will buy it straight away.
when is the next post coming out?
ReplyDeleteHey SG, rumour has it that a new elite blaster, the alpha trooper CS-12 is coming out on 1st march. Is this real? And if it is, is it coming to singapore?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
DeleteThere are a few photos of it popping up online... but whether it'll be available locally, we'll just have to wait and see.
sgnerf,
ReplyDeletewhere can i get the nerf elite rapid strike mission kit?
