Check out the Nerf N-Strike Jolt EX-1!
The Nerf Jolt is a spring powered direct plunger blaster... with a really tiny form factor.
Its plunger tube is housed inside the trigger handle. Just load a foam dart, pull the priming handle at the bottom downwards, then pull the trigger to fire.
The blaster comes packaged with 2 x Sonic/Whistler foam darts. It is compatible with most Nerf foam darts too.
The average stock range is approx. 25-30ft.
Btw, doesn't it have a rather uncanny resemblance to the "Noisy Cricket" in the movie Men In Black? :)

Where can I get this in Singapore?
ReplyDeletenerf nerd,
ReplyDeleteThey are currently not available in Singapore yet, i got my sets from overseas... but i'll definitely post updates if they appear in local stores.
I heard this can vacume load, but what does that even mean?
ReplyDeleteis it nice to use
ReplyDeleteDaniel,
ReplyDeleteWith a spring plunger system, it works in the same way as a syringe, when you pull back the handle, if the plunger to barrel seal is good, it draws in air from the barrel, therefore if a foam dart is placed at the front of the barrel, it is automatically pulled in due to the vacuum that forms behind it. That is what's commonly referred to amongst nerfers as vacuum loading.
Noisy Cricket? Looks more like the FP-45 Liberator used in World War II.
ReplyDeletegstarr007,
ReplyDeleteWell, the trigger handle can be abit small for users with large hands, but other than that its a fun compact blaster to use. :)
Any idea when it will come to singapore?
ReplyDeleteSamuel C.
ReplyDeleteSo far, no news of them appearing in Singapore yet. I'll post updates if they do pop up locally.
Unfortunately, unlike the Noisy Cricket, it doesn't shoot a super-powerful round that explodes and gives you a Force push back. It's just the Jolt EX-1.
ReplyDeleteCan you put a video of how it works up on the blog??
ReplyDeleteSG Nerf,
ReplyDeleteCan you tell where did you order all these not-released-blasters from?
YM,
ReplyDeleteI usually get new blasters from overseas friends, or from online sellers at sites like eBay or TaoBao. :)
Dear SG NERF,I currently have all the nerf blasters except the nerf recon.I'm from Hawaii and Im planing to visit Singapore.which shop would you recommend me to buy the recon the cheapest.
ReplyDeleteCrazinerffan,
ReplyDeleteWell, you can find Nerf Recons at pretty much all the major dept stores in Singapore, it's one of the most common blaster models here.
The retail prices for Nerf are the same at all the local retail stores, but you could shop around to find special promotions or discounts that pop up occasionally at the individual stores.
May I knoĊµ the currency rate?

hey sgn, i think there are still alpha troopers in paragon tru. my friend wanted to buy an longstrike there and he said he saw ATs there. and btw, hornets still selling in spore?
ReplyDeleterubesh's nerf,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, hopefully someone could also take a photo to confirm its availability there and post on the NerfSG forum to share.
Nerf Hornets are also very rarely seen in stores nowadays too, i guess you'll have to really scout around to find them.
Dear SGnerf, why is there a shortage of Longshots in the US but no shortages in SG.And do they still sell the classic blue model
ReplyDeleteKen Boey,
ReplyDeleteWell, the Longshots currently available in SG are a very limited re-stock, so it looks like a matter of "get it while stocks last" kinda thing.
I've not seen the Blue versions available in any stores for quite a while. Imho, those are collectors items nowadays.
SG Nerf. I hope this isnt any inconvenience to you but could please post a picture of the Stampede with that cool triple red dot targeting matrix that you did with the Vulcan. I really would like to see how it turns out on it.
ReplyDeleteBloggerId,
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, that was done back in 2008 and i don't have those red dot targeters anymore, so i can't do the same setup.
But i would imagine the result would look quite similar in effect. :)
Want can nerf jolt come to Singapore
ReplyDeletehow much do you think a blue longshot is worth?
ReplyDeleteit works fine, but the front barrel thing has to be fixed every five shots.
Thanks!
Lanh, Duc, Joey & Sydney Nguyen-Khoa,
ReplyDeleteDepending on the condition of the unit, complete working good sets currently go for $100+ amongst nerf enthusiasts in SG. New-in-box sets would be worth even more. I guess it just depends on how much you are willing to pay based on its rarity nowadays.
Dear SG nerf,Do u have any ideas on how much the Nerf Jolt EX-1 is in SGD and do you know whether the Nerf Jolt EX-1 is already released in Singapore? If not when will it be released?
ReplyDeleteZilla,
ReplyDeleteSo far, i've not spotted the Nerf Jolt available in Singapore yet, have to order from overseas.
No idea when it would appear in local stores either, though i will post updates here if they do pop up locally.
Have you guys heard of the lumitron
ReplyDeleteAaron,
ReplyDeleteYup, its the "firefly-tech" version of the Vortex Praxis, looks good. Looking forward to see it popping up in dept stores soon. :)
I like this gun. Also is this available in Australia? Why is this only overseas?
ReplyDeletenerffan,
ReplyDeleteNot sure if it's available in Australia, it's not even available in Singapore where i live either. I ordered mine from online sellers. Guess it just depends on the model distribution in different countries.
Hmm, mine got more like 30 - 35 feet ranges. It really is an excellent blaster. It looks even smaller next to the Mav in that picture.

well they are now avaliable at blacktactical
ReplyDeleteheres a link to their web site-->

SG Nerf,
ReplyDeleteHow far does it shoot Streamline Darts?
Anonymous,
DeleteStreamlines get similar ranges as the sonic/whistler foam darts... though streamlines do tend to be rather inconsistent and inaccurate, so the ranges can often vary alot between shots.
are you still selling Nerf N-Strike Jolt EX-1?
ReplyDeleteGuitar,
DeleteI'm not a retail store or commercial seller, this is just a Nerf hobby enthusiast site... you should check at your local dept stores to buy your Nerf N-Strike Jolt EX-1 units.

DeleteGuitar,
DeleteJust check at the various local dept stores in Singapore, ie. Toys R Us, Metro, OG etc.
Just to add, the new N-Strike Elite version of Jolt (blue/orange/white colour scheme) is available at Kiddy Palace.
