Nerf Recon CS-6 - Review!

Check out the Nerf Recon CS-6!

The Nerf Recon features a modular component design, users can swap the various parts to customize it to fit any tactical situation.

It's loading/unloading and manual bolt action firing mechanisms are similar to the Nerf Longshot, but in a more compact scale with the bolt slider situated on top instead. Both the Nerf Recon and Longshot can utilize the same parts and tactical attachments. In addition, both use the same 6-dart magazines and are only compatible with streamline foam darts.

The Nerf Recon package also includes an adjustable ladder sight to aid in aiming, and a tactical targeting laser module which can switch between red-beam spotlight or focused red-dot targeting (requires 2 x AAA batteries).

The average firing range of the Nerf Recon is similar to the Nerf Longshot at around 25-30 ft.

Note that the Nerf Recon is packaged with only 1 x 6-dart magazine, it can hold a spare magazine in its butt stock but you'll have to purchase that separately.

Nerf Titan AS-V.1 - Review!

Okay, i've received queries from people asking whether that red rocket launcher featured in "The Great Office War" was an actual Nerf blaster. Well, i'd just like to say... meet the Nerf Titan AS-V.1!

Some brief model background: The Nerf Titan was originally part of a Nerf package called the Unity System, it comprised of 3 Nerf blasters: The Nerf Titan AS-V.1, Hornet AS-6 and Scout IX-3.

Nerf now offers the Titan as a standalone model. They call it the "Big Bad Titan", it is currently a Target exclusive model, and can only be purchased from Target stores or online.

The Nerf Titan comes with a Mega missile which is propelled by compressed air stored in the Titan's air chamber, it takes around 12-15 pumps via the stock handle to fully prime the Titan. It also features a rotating pressure gauge to inform you once it hits max pressure.

The Mega missile features angled stabilizer tail fins that work surprisingly well. When fired, you can actually see the Mega missile soaring through the air while spiraling smoothly on its axis to maintain its line of flight.

Although the Nerf Titan's indicated firing range is approx. 60 ft, i've tested and it can easily exceed that range. Aimed abit higher, with a lob trajectory, the mega missile flew 80+ ft down my office corridor!

Definitely a very interesting model to add to any Nerf collection! :)

Nerf Magstrike - Review!

Introducing the Nerf Magstrike!

The Nerf Magstrike is the fastest-firing model in the Nerf Dart Tag range. If you play Dart Tag, this is the model to get.

It boasts an incredible rate of fire, 5 rounds per second or 300 rounds per minute! The Magstrike comes with 2 x 10 round clips. In practice, you can send 10 foam darts flying at an opponent before he can even fire off his second shot!

The firing mechanism is based on compressing air into its storage chamber (similar to a paintball gun) via a pump handle. It takes around 20+ quick pumps to fully prime the Magstrike.

The 10 round clips are ratchet driven so when the Magstrike fires, the clip is pushed up the gun and compressed air is released in sequence to fire off all 10 foam darts in under 2 seconds. You can also fire 2-3 shot bursts with just a light tap on the trigger.

The percussion sounds the Magstrike makes during firing is quite addictive, almost like mini explosions. This really adds to the appeal of the Magstrike!

The Magstrike comes in 2 colors: Red and Blue.

Nerf Longshot CS-6 (Blue) - Review!

Check out the Nerf Longshot CS-6!

The Nerf Longshot is the one of the most sought after models in the Nerf N-Strike range.

Even though it has a relatively slow rate of fire (being a manual bolt-action blaster), perhaps its the Longshot's "sniper rifle" design or the fact that this model is the longest Nerf gun in the range (more than 3 feet long!), everybody wants one!

Nerf Firefly REV-8 - Review!

The Nerf Firefly REV-8 is one of the more unique models in the Nerf N-Strike range.

This model has the ability to fire special Nerf glow-in-the-dark micro foam darts. It does this by activating a flash burst in the transparent barrel during the firing process to "charge" the foam darts.

Fire it in a low-light area and the lightning effect looks quite cool!

Average stock firing range is around 25-30ft.

Nerf Vulcan EBF-25 - Review!

Introducing the Nerf Vulcan EBF-25!

The Nerf Vulcan is the newest and largest fully automatic Nerf gun. It accomplishes this feat by operating via an automatic belt-fed ammo system (similar to a GPMG). The firing rate is a constant 3 rounds per second or 180 rounds per minute!

The firing mechanism is powered by a piston powered internal launching system, and uses 6 x "D" sized Batteries.

It comes with 1 x 25 dart belt with 25 sonic darts, and a removable tripod. You can purchase additional belts and darts too.

Average stock range is around 25-30ft.

There is an alternative box version called the Vulcan VP (Value Pack) which includes 2 x 25 dart belt and a special weapon sling.

This model's build quality and design is excellent. It's the flagship model of any Nerf collection!
